Permanence and impermanence

Know this, boys and girls. When the last times you have been physically home for extended periods of time last 2 weeks, 5 months, 6 months, 2 weeks, 1 week... and you finally get home "for good"... knowing that "for good" only lasts as long as someone else's whim... and having everyone that sees you home ask, "So how long are you home for this time?"... you can't help but think and live as if you were leaving again soon. Case in point, going to China and Taiwan to do the tourist thing, in a month or so. Sure, it's only for about two weeks, but still.

Plus I know in a few years (or whenever the housing prices stop being stupid) I'll finally move out (somewhere).

So unsettled.

For some, not an entirely bad thing. For me, resigned to it.

At least you are resigned to it and can develope a good attitude. I am just glad you made it home safe and sound.

Btw, thanks for the welcome back ;)

Traveling - always fun (unless you are traveling with a certain parent whose travel habits grate on your nerves horribly) (unless you are traveling to somewhere you don't want to go)... amend. Airports - always fun (unless the check-in/security checkpoint line is super long and your flight leaves like now) (unless you have to lug hundreds of pounds of unwieldy luggage through the terminal(s))... amend.

...

Travel - when on your own terms and everything goes right, fun.
