I've been reading a lot of "Year in Review" etc. blogs from folks.  Not sure I'm quite ready to do mine yet, as it is 1am in the morning and I do work in about 7 1/2 hours.

I'm reading three books concurrently at the moment: Homo Domesticus: Notes from a Same-Sex Marriage, Splinter Cell: Operation Barracuda, and (and I sat here for like a full minute or two trying to remember this one) Learning to Bow: Inside the Heart of Japan.

Unlike when I was reading I Know You're Out There: Private Longings, Public Humiliations, and other Tales from the Personals (HIGHLY recommended) and I picked up Here's What We'll Say: A Memoir of Growing Up, Coming Out and the U.S. Air Force (stay far, far away from despite the cute guy on the cover) at the bookstore to check it out, these three do not blend together to confuse.

So you could say I've been catching up on my reading now that school's on break.

I received my documents in my email this morning/afternoon for Army-paid tuition and took them to the tuition office about 15 minutes shy of closing.  Realized then as the lady tried to figure them out that the Army has gypped me this time by not paying my fees... whatever.  Only about a hundred some odd bucks.. but still.  Anyway hopefully they can credit them to my account before my CC statement is finalized so I don't end up paying the CC bill with the tuition in there, only to have it credited a few days later and then a negative balance on my CC for the next few months... again.

Hmm what else today.  Not much really.  Oh!  I have now bought most of my books for the upcoming semester.  Only two left!  Startlingly, my textbook for Chinese has grown about 33% in thickness!  But it's a nice color :)

Yeah, I definitely read "Homo Domesticus: Notes from a Same-Sex Marriage, Splinter Cell: Operation Barracuda" as one book title and was like WTF?
