So on Thursday, I was on register (during a rare 5-second lull) when a 60-or-so-year-old Japanese tourist came, bypassing my other coworker (who, IMO, looks a LOT more Japanese than I do) to ask me a question in Japanese.  It took me forever to figure out that she wanted a book about treehouses ("tsuriihausu" should have been easy enough, but I thought she was saying a Japanese word), and I got one for her.  Afterwards, she explained to me that it was her first time shopping in America, and she was really nervous, but she was really happy that she found what she was looking for.

That was pretty neat.

Still not sure why she chose me though.
